Farm Credit, a member-owned financial institution, has been serving the financing needs of rural America for over 80 years. Our business is loans and we specialize every loan to the individual member-borrower.
As a cooperative, Southwest Georgia Farm Credit may return a portion of our profits to our member-owners in the form of patronage refunds. In 2000, we returned over $5.9 million to our members which equaled a return to them of 30 cents on every $1.00 they paid in interest that year. Since 1988, we have returned over $48.3 million to our members. It "pays" to do business with Farm Credit.
